Carved into the hill-side, the 4 levels of the hotel look out onto a view of fields of wheat and sunflowers, trees, copses and farms (the nearest village being a mile away). The terrace of this spacious residence offers a harbour of peace before dinner as the sun slowly sets over the tranquil countryside. It is an ideal setting for a romantic dinner.
Stone steps and terraces link up to provide shade and rockeries, swimming-pool and cascade, fountains and water troughs. Please note that due to the hill side location there are many steps to the pool and restaurant.
This impressive house which has been completely renovated in the Midi country-style (terracotta, slate and stone flooring, colombage, wrought-iron banisters) has retained all its style and atmosphere.
Each room has beautiful antique furniture, paintings and objects chosen by Philippe on his travels and also from antique shops. Generous reception areas such as the lounge-library with its couches and cosy armchairs or the old chateau-fort kitchen, now transformed into a Seminar Room (for approximately 15 people) with its immense fire-place, creates an atmosphere of conviviality for people to meet, especially for the cookery courses planned for the beginning and the end of the season. |
